With the arrest of a 5 persons the AATS East District has
unearthed a racket indulging in selling fake degrees, The East delhi police
AATS claim to have busted a major fake certificate racket spread across India.
The accused used to sell fake degree certificates, mark sheets, and transfer
certificates of various universities and boards to failed students. With the
help of these mark sheets, many are employed with some of the reputed
multi-national companies (MNCs) in India and abroad. Price to sell BA,
BSc, BCom certificates for Rs. 5000- 55,000 and BCA, BE, MBA, and diplomas in
computer hardware and software for Rs. 1 lakh One Akshay from Muzaffarnagr lock
a complaint that he wanted to pursue studies and came in contact with one Mr.
Ramdev. The complainant was assured by Ramdev that he could join the course and
after completing the same a pass certificate would be given. He paid 30,000/-
in two installments to Mr. Ramdev. The complainant was told
that his mark sheet is ready and he has been declared pass but he need to pay
an additional amount of Rs.12,000. Mr. Ramdev gave him class XIIth and
Graduation and post graduation mark sheet, allegedly issued .Later,
the Akshay found that the mark sheet given to him is fake. He approached the
police and a case was registered at PS New Ashok Nagar.
Mr. Ramdev runs various institutions and
university Centre, Board of Secondary Education Madhya Bharat, Gwalior (M.P),
Council of Paramedical and Technical Education, Delhi Board of Secondary
Education, Intermediate Council of Schooling Education, The Council of Basic
& Technical Education, Jodhpur National University, Manav Bharti
University, and Shridhar University ,Sai Nath University etc. The accused
Pawiter Singh, Jitender Singh and Balvinder Singh opened an office in the name
and style of ICS Education at Philloure, Distt. Jalandhar, Punjab. They employ
contact persons/agents on commission basis to bring candidates/students who
want educational qualification certificates or degrees for jobs, marriage and
abroad visits. The cost of certificates/degrees was from Rs.5000/- to
1,20,000/-. Scanned copies of fake degrees and certificates of educational
qualification were shown to the candidates, after receiving first
instalment. The degree/certificate were sent to the
candidates/contact agents through courier after making full payment. The
contact agents were paid on commission basis whereas the whole show was run by
10th fail 12th pass
in 1 year, 3year degree course with in 2 Months he/she
was told about the duration of the course admission, fees and recognition as
per Govt. norms. The candidate was asked to pay in cash/cheque and bank draft
so that the candidate believed about the genuineness of course and institution.
The agents lured the candidates to save their labour and time and
arranged certificates in a short period after taking heavy amount. In most of
the cases, the candidates agree to buy these certificates ranging from
Rs.55000/- to 12,00,00/-. The accused persons were also issuing certificates
related to paramedical, Technical courses which were used by the
candidates tget employment in hospitals, government jobs and for going
abroad."He used to charge money according to the percentage the student
wanted.
